Thirupathi in lockdown

In 15th century, Annamacharya times, the same present situation of “ Lockdown “ prevailed long time.
Thirupati people were asked to stay home, and maintain silence in entire thirupathi.

In this samkeerthana, [[ 118, Volume 15 ]], Annamayya had given the Reasons and Consequences of the Strict silence and Stay home at that period of time.

Ohoho yanaro Paari, saahasaana  thirugaro  junta Paari

Oh! Oh! Say Oh Oh! , see, what a situation , anybody if at all wants to roam around out doors, roam around, maintaing  a distance from the second next to you.  So, Social Distance was ordered in that time.

Konetiraayadu  kori  nidrincee naade, aanakamai. Jaaleeyaro. Junta paaree

Penipatti vaakilla beegamudralaaya nidi, kaanimmani vaaincharo ganta Pari”

The Temple of Lord Sree Venkateswara was locked and sealed,   and doors were     tied  with tweeded ropes, for a long  period of.  time . Lord Sree Venkateswara   wished peaceful Sleep. All                        activities were ceased, inorder to maintain  silent   atmosphere   for Lord’s Relaxation. Temple bells rang timely. This was a   reason Spiritual, given above.

Theirumani managenu thirugaraadevvariki, Marala. nelugincharo magapari

Paraga Devathalellaa Badakelamunnaaru, Iravaaya soorya chandrulu Eduru paari”

Thirupathi was in silence. No movements out side, only silence. Devatas were also in a Relaxing state. In sky’s, Sun and Moon are seen , opposite to one another .. That was an Eclipse’  occurrence. A special celestial phenomena appeared at that time. May be,  such a rare planitory position, a hazardous

climate was created, to which,  if People are exposed, will get diseases. A Vicious atmosphere might had been surrounded everywhere. Thirupathites were requested to stay home.

Sree Venkateswarudu chittaginchee lonade,  kovaramennikaro Koti  paari.

AAvala bangaaru  gudiyalu. Ghalluranagaa , thaavula Hanthuni paari””

As Lord Venkateswara was relaxing in the closed temple, all devotees we’re requested to wish their desires , grants from the outside of the temple . Let they be crores of wishes, all of them were granted by Lord without fail.

Lord  Hanuman was guarding outside the locked temple.

To everybody’s astonishment a wonderful melodious golden anklets sound was heard from inside of the temple .

In this song, Sri Annamacharya sang the divine cosmic reasons  for closing the temple for a long time. Thirupathi was kept in silence and stay in .

History Repeats, the same conditions are prevailing in present days. We too following the same life saving measures. Times are different , but troubles are the same .

Reasons are different , remedies are the same . Past is repeating , time speaks silently.

Hariye erugunu andaribrathukulu

Pallavii:       Hariye erugunu andari brathukulu,  iravei eethani erugute melu

Lord of lords, Hari knows, every bodies' life.  So, it is better to Know Hari.

Charanam:1      Venukati Brahmalu vevelu , enaci  brahmandambulu aelirata
Penagoni varala perulu  marachiri, manuja keetamula  marevvaderugu

Long long back, there were thousands thousands of Brahmas. They ruled the Galaxies. May be they were all given superate names, which are all forgotten now. When so many Brahmas are forgotten , when that was the case of thousands of Brahmas, what could be the status of simple humans?
Who cares these human insects? Or what importance these trivial humans hold?

Charanam2:        Asadolli munulanthakotlu,  chesiri  thapamulu  senaluga
Aesirulandiri erugarevvarunu, vesapu narulaku  vidhi aedoo

Crores, and crores of sages, like big battalions , did many , shacrifices. But, what they gained, no one knows. When this is the status of great saints and sages, what could be the fate of this ordinary humans?

Charanam3:        Kalavanekamulu karma  margamulu, Palu devathalitu paatinchiri.,,
Balimi   Sree Venkatapathiki morayidi,  velasiri thudanide  veravindariki.

Ther e are very many ways to karmic actions, which various deities had observed. Appealing to mighty  Lord
Venkatesa , finally they settled here. All those deities want to worship the Lord always, that's why, they settled here, along with Venkatesa. Lord Sree Venkatesa is the only final destination for everybody.n

In this song, Annamayya is speaking about  the value of a human. Sree Hari is Omniscient,;so, it is worth try, to know what Sree Hari is. If one knows, what is Sree Hari, automatically , knows everything.
There are many ways to  know Hari. Many Devathas too adopted those ways and realised Hari., why can't we too follow them.says Annamayya.

One big secret of this universe is revealed by Annamayya..in the first charanam.  i.e.  May be, millions, or billions of years ago,
there were thousands of Brahmas. They all had their specific names, and  powers with which, they had ruled the " different Loukas.”       Brahma is a Devine entity, not a materialistic body like a human, as usually
depicted in paintings of Puranas. There existed, Brahmas, thousands in numbers. Annamayya says, all Lokas were maintained by those thousands of Brahmas, with there different powers and  portpholios. Each Brahma was a gaint power store, pocessing high intensity of Energy, intellect, mind and  consciousness .  To our knowledge, Brahma is only a creator.. But, according to Annamayya, Brahma is not simply a creator , but a sustainor and controller too. When those names of thousands of Brahmas were erased in the history , forgotten  comfortably,  who remembers the tiny human?.
What Annamayya wants to say is, either for a Brahma or a human,   The final destination is Hari alone.

                                       Om Namo Narayanaya

CharaNam1:         .   VeDapurANamulalo  Viharinche  Devudu
                                    ADimoolameinatti   alaBrahmamu
                                     Sree Devi pAlita  chelage  niDhanamu
. .                        SeDadeeri  yasoDaku  sisuvaaya niDivo

The God, praised in VeDas and  scriptures; the first origin of that Brahma;

                                        Gakkana  Brahma  kodukuga  kanna Paramamu
                                         Akkaratho  venna muchchei  AtalAdi niDivo

Gopala is the form which NaaraDa and other devotees worship, Gopala is the Devine form
present in the living beings, Gopala is the form which has given birth to Brahma,  and  the form which is playing with butter.

CharaNam3:  ...              Devathala  gAchutaku  Dikkeina  Vishnudu
                                          Bhaavamulu  okkarupeina  bhava thathvamu
                                           Sree VenkatADri meeDA  Cheriunna  AvaraDudu
                                             Keivasamei  gollethala   kowgiLla niDivo

Gopala is the only resort which can save
the Devataas from any crisis.   The single
Mind that guides all minds,  the wish fulfiller  residing on Venkatadri, once who was in the hands of sheapherd women.

What a wonder!!!  The ultimate Purusha
has become the small child Gopala???
Here, in this song, Annamayya explains the Child form , the presence of" the Supreme being Hari" very circastically.

Without saying this and that,  take care of Him. See, The child Krishna standing infront of the house.
Pet this cute lovable, kissable Sree Krishna.

In this song , Annamayya  imagines the Venkatesa as a child Krishna.  He imagines all innocence a child pocesses in this Child Krishna.  The Lord of Lord, who knows everything , everything in this universe, is picturised as a small child of absolute innocence .  That is the Beaty of Bhakti.
When deep in love with God, the devotee imagines the Lord in different forms according to his mood.

Om Namo Venkatesaya
