Viswaprakasunaku veliaeda lonaeda

Pallavi:           Viswaprakaasunaku  veli eada loneada,  saswathunakoohimpa Janmamikaneada

Where is the" in and out" for the one who illuminates the entire universe.                                                 Is it possible to imagine the birth of the one, who is eternally permanent ?

Charanam:1.          Sarva paripoornunaku sancharamikaneada, nirvaaNa moorthyki  Nilayamikaneada
Vurveedharunaku kaalooDa nokachoteda,  Paarvathee sthuthunaku bhavamikaneada.

Why any motion, for an encompassing  comprehensive entity.  Why any particular place , for an all pervading figure.?    Where is any place left, to keep the foot?  for him, who holds the entire world?.
What is there left to think? for the one prayed by Devi Parvati , Lord Siva's better half.

Charanam:2.          Nanaprabhavunaku nadumeada. MoDaleada, Anana sahasrunakunu avvalivaleda
Mouni hruDayasthunaku maateada Palukeada, gnaanaswaroopunaku  kaana vinaneada

Is there any middle or beginning for an Omnipresent?  Is there any direction for the thousand faced  one?   Is there any need to speak or verse, for an  Omnisilent  one?. The Omnipresent , Omnidirectional, Omni silent , Almighty communicates through mind only.  So, that is ever existing
"Universal Mind" Narayanaya  only,  no doubt in it.

Charanam:3.    Parama  yogeendrunaku  paruleda thaaneda,  Duritha doorunaku sumsthuthi ninDaleda
Thiruvenkateswarunaku. Divya vigrahameda, Hariki NaarayaNunaku  avugaamuleada

For that great Yogi, all are equal. For that sinfree absolute purity,  a praise and curse are equal.
Is there any specific figure for the Supreme Devine, Thiru Venkatesa ?
Is there " yes or nos" to Sree Hari, who is the Omnipresent Narayanaya ?
Is there any thing impossible to Sree Hari?

Here, in this song, Annamayya  explains all characteristics  of "SreemaNnarayana."
Narayanaya is everywher.  It is  Narayanaya only, called Sree Hari or Sree Venkatesa.  The Lord  of the universal  Devine field of  Illumination, which has no middle or end, motionless,  communicates through Mind,, spread infinitely all directions, with encyclopaedic knowledge, Supreme  Consciousness , eternally  existing,  enveloping the  entire universe is nothing but That NaarayaNa, Hari , or Sree Venkateswara. Says Annamayya.

This song is the summary of "Kshetra Kshetragna vibhaga yoga"

                                       Om namo Venkatesa

Akati veLala alapaina vaeLala

Pallavi:            AkativeLala alapeina veLalanu, thekuva Hari namamea dikku mari leDu

When one is hungry or tired, only taking the name of Sree Hari is the way of rescue.

Charanam:1.       Koramalii unnaveLa kulamu chedinaveLa, cheravadi orulache chikkina veLa
Orapaina Hari Namamokkate gathigaakaa, marachi thappina neina marileDu theragu

When one is jobless, or thrown out of the caste, or caught in the hands of enemies and jailed, it is only and only the name of Sree Hari , the way of rescue.  There is no alternate solution, even by mistake, if forgotten the name of Hari.  So, hurry up. Take the name of Hari, all problems will be solved.

Charanam:2.       ApaDa vachchina veLa, Aradipadina veLa, paapapu veLala, bhayapadina veLa
Opinantha Hari namamokkate gatigaakaa, maapuDaaka poralina marilaeDu theragu

When one is in troubles, or in miserable times, or in sinful times, or in scary times, it is only and only, the name of Sree Hari, the way of rescue. There is no alternate solution , even if waited till tomorrow. So, hurry up. It is
only Sree Hari, who will save anyone , from these times of problems.

Charanam :3.          Sankelabettina veLa, champabilichina veLa, ankiliga nappulavaaraagina veLa
Venkatesu naamame vidipincha gathigaakaa,  mankubuddhi poralina marilaeDu
theragu.

When one is hand cuffed, or centenced to death, or the  loan recoverers stand at the main door, it is only and only Hari's name, that can rescue by freeing. There is no alternate solution , if one remains stupid.  So, hurry up. Take Hari's name, get out of all problems.

In this song, Annamayya preaches the greatness remembering Sree Hari's name.
Annamayya , authentically  says " Beleave Hari, releave problems"

                                 Om Namo Venkatesaya

Ithanikante ghanulikalaeru

Pallavi:         Ithanikante ghanulikaleru, ithara.  Devathala imdarilona

Nobody is greater than Sree Hari, Lord Sree. Hari is the  Supreme, even among all Devatas,

Charanam1:    Bhupathi eethade poDigi koluvaro , Srepathi eethade chekonaro

Karivaradudithadae gathiyani thalacharoo, Paraga Sree Venkatapathi ainaadu

Lord Sree Hari is the teacher, guide dwelling inside you, believe him in your Mind.
He is only, Paramatma ( the all pervading Supreme Devine ),  imagine him.
He is the one who blessed Gajendra, ( the elephant, who was an ordent Bhakt of Sree Hari, caught by a crocodile , saved by Sree Hari, ), think him as your ultimate goal.
Now, he  resides as Sree Venkatapathi on seven hills.

Charanam3:             Thalliu nithade, thandriu nithade, vellivirei ika viduvakuroo
Challaga neethani saraNani brathukaroo, Alla Sree Venkata Hari. einaadu

Lord Sree. Hari  is mother and father to all.
Live coolly , taking shelter in him. See, there , He became Sree Venkata Hari.

Annamayya  wants to say that Sree Hari is taken the form Sree Venkatesa , and settled on seven hills.
That's why he is called the Lord of all seven hills, "Venkatagiripathi".

Kolani. Dopariki gobbiLLo

Pallavi:           Kolani dopariki gobbiLLo. Yadukula saamiki gobbiLLo.

GobbiLLu" is a kind of dance. Usually, ladies do this dance.  A God's  idol  is kept over a colourful pattern drawn on the clean ground.  Over that idol, they place flowers of pumpkin and other colourful flowers.  This entire arrangement is called "Gobbii."  Beautifully decorated Ladies of all age groups, dance circularly around that " gobbi", singing songs with claps. This dance form of claps'song is
Called" Gobbi dance."

Lord Sree Krishna  was  the. Chief of Yadavas.  ( Yadavas were all Cowmen. )
Sree Venkatesa  stays besides of Big Water Reserve  ( kolanu ) present on the hill Thirumala.   That's why, he is called  " kolani dopari ".  Sree Venkateswara is none else than Lord Sree Krishna. Hence, in pallavi, Annamayya praises both of them, with clapping song.

Charanam1:           Konda goduguga govula gaachina, kondoka sisuvuku gobbiLlo
Dundagampu deithyulakellanu thala Gundu gandaniki gobbiLlo

Hay! claps to that Godly Child, who lifted a hill to save the cows, claps to the terror of the natorious
demons, Lord Sree Krishna.

Charanam:2.           Papa vidhula Sisupaaluni thittula, kopaganikini GobbiLLo
                               Aepuna Kamsuni  idumulabettina Gopabaaluniki GobbiLLo

Hay! Claps to the Anree Krishna , who was cursed hundred times by the sinful Sisupala.
Hay! Claps to the Child Krishna, who put Gaint kamsaa, into lots of troubles.

Charanam3:            Dandi veirulanu tharimina danujula, gunde digulunaku gobbiLLo
                                 Vendi peidiyagu Venkatagiripei, Kondalayyakunu gobbiLLoo

Hay! Claps to the heart depression of the demons, Sree Venkatesa ,  by whom they were driven out, and killed.  Hay ! Claps to the Lord of seven hills, Sree Venkatesa , who stays on the Silver, gold reserves' hill, Venkatagiri.

In this song, Annamayya  praises all miracles, all wondering deeds, of Sree krishnas!'  Childhood.
It is Sree Krishna only,  called as Venkatesa in Kaliyuga.  In his childhood , Sree Krishna killed many
Rakshasas. Few of them wereKansa,, Sisupala, Mustikasura, chaNura, Sakatasura and Poothana.

In this song, Annamayya emphasises the popular dance form of those days, "Enthralling Gobbi dance."

                                                Om Namo Venkatesaya.

Ettivarikinella nittl karmamulu

Pallavi:             Ettivarikinella nitty karmamulu, ma ittivarikininka aemi dovayya??

When people of great stature cannot escape the results of their bad actions (bad Karmas)' , what way, people of my stature can go.??

Charanam1:          Pamu champinayatti  paathakamuna, pedda Paamu meeda neeku  pavalinchavalase
Komalini champina  korathavalla. nokka komalini  edapettukoniunda valasae

Because of killing the gaint cobra Kalindi, in Krishnavatar,  you are destined to sleep on a cobra  bed.   Because of killing a  rakshacii Puthana, in Krishnavatar, you are destined to bear a lady (Sree Mahalakshmi) in your heart for ever.   So, the law of "universal Dharma", is  " you have to reap what you do."
According to Hindu dharma, one should not kill a snake, and a lady (female )".  Killing a snake or a female , is considered as a sin. Who so ever does this sin , has to face the  penalty inevitably.  Even Devine.   No escape from this theory of Karma( action).

Charanam 2:           Bandiviracheenatti pathakamunaa , pedda bandi booidavei panicheyavalase
Konda verikinatti gunamuna thirumala , kondameeda neeku koochundavalase

Because of breaking a cart in Sree krishnavatar, You are destined to drive the chariot of Arjuna, in the war at Kurukshetra.  Because of lifting a hill, forcibly , in Krishnavatar, you are destined to sit on the hill Thirumala.
In Sree krishnavatar, a demon comes in the form of a cart, chages the child Krishna, intending to kill him.
But , Lord  knows the  conspiracy of the rakshasa. Hence, tactfully kills that Sakatasura.
When Sree Krishna was picnicking with his friends and  ladies, all of a sudden rain downpours. Inorder to save them from drenching, Lord lifts the nearby hill, with his little finger and gives shelter to all his folk. Breaking the cart was done to save the people from that demon, Sakatasur., Lifting the hill was also done to save Nandas.; though both actions are done for the general welfare , the effect of karma was destined to Krishna because, he did that..
Action and  effect, ( karma & Karmaphal ) is an unescapable phynominon of the universe.

In this song, Annamayya selected all anecdotes from SreeKrishnavatar to expound the great Karma siddhanth. It is the Lord of Kaliyuga , Sree Venkatapathi only , incarnated as Krishna in Krutayuga. Both are the avataras of Sree Hari  only. We all know this.  What Annamayya says is,  when even Gods are not exempted from this " universal law of Karma" , where an ordinary mortal- human stands??.

".Beware of your actions,"  is the message of Annamayya.

                        Om Namo Venkatesaya

Note:     This song is available in Ttd published cd, "Annamayya Bhava lahari," sung & composed by Lakshmi murty.

Chanting the name of sree Maha Vishnu ,  ( Sree Maha Lakshmi's husband) with dedication,
is the medicine  for worldly or non worldly things.  Taking refuge in  the wealthy Lord,  Sree Venkatesa , is a regular daily medicine  for everyone of us.

In this song, Sree Annamayya  advices, everybody to take  shelter in Sree Venkatesa , inorder to  live a peaceful. life.  He says, chanting Sree Hari's name, works out as a great madicine, curing all worldly problems while enhancing the spiritual qualities . Anything in anybody 's life, either worldly or non-worldly, spiritual or non-spiritual, can be settled by worshiping Lord Sree Venkatesa.  Chanting. Or praying or worshipping or singing , the Glory of Lord Venkatesa  works as a sacred medicine, says Annamayya.
The variou s adjectives he used along with the word "Oushadhamu" explains the glory and  power of Lord Venkatesa.  Vennudu" means one who loves eats butter.

Hay Govinda!! You belong to every caste,  hay karunanidhi!! you are my wealth, hay Dharaneedhara!!
You are my thought, hay Neerajanabha!! You are my existance.  Hari is called by many names.
Govinda means a Cow boy,  Karunanudhi means a treasure of compassion,   Dharaneedhara means one who carries the earth, Neerajanabha means one who has a lotus, stemmed from  the navel of his body.

Charanam2:       Thanuvunu neeve Damodara,  na manikiu  neeve Madhsudana,
Vinikiu neeve Vitthaluda, na venuka mundu neeve Vishnudevuda.

Hay Damodara!! You are my body, hay Madusudana!! You are my existance, hay Vitthala!! You  are my
audibility, hay Vishnu !! You are , in front  and behind me.  Sree Hari is called with  different names.
Damodara means, one who has fire in his stomach ,Madusudana means one who killed the demon ,Madu, Vitthala means one who stays in Vaikuntha ( Vishnu's residence), Vishnudev  is the Lord of thrilokas.

Chanam3:          Puttugu neeve Purushottama, Kona nattanadumu neeve Narayana
Itte Sree Venkateswaruda naku, Nettana  gathi  inka neeve neeve.

Hay Purushottama!! You are my birth, hay Narayanaya !! You are the beginning and middle of the entire universe, hay Venkatesa!! Here, hereafter, you , only you are my Ultimate Destination.
Lord Hari is called with different names. Purushottama means, the best of all male, Narayanaya means the one who enveloped the entire Universe, Sree Venkatesa is the Lord of Seven hills.

Here, in this song, Annamayya says , everything in this world is Sree Hari only.
Sree Hari is the beginning, middle and end of this Universe.  Every thing is existing in That Narayanaya
alone.
" Mattaha paratharam nanyathu kinchidastu Dhanamjaya!!
Mayi sarvamidam protham , suthrae maniganariva "
Says Sree Krishna in Bhagavadgita .  Essence of the sloka is, " every thing is in me, and I am in everything . Nothing is without me, everything suspended in me like beeds in a chain."
Here, Annamayya addresses Sree Hari, with all his qualitative names. The speciality of this song is, that, Annamayya refers to many earlier incarnations of Lord Venkatesa .;;as RaghuRama of Threthayuga, Govinda of Krithauga, Dharaneedhara of Koormavatar, along with many other descriptive names.

Sakala jeevulakella sanjeevi

Pallavii:        Sakala jeevulakella sanjeevi EE Mandu,  vekalulei sevimparo ee manduu

Drink  this medicine with  full excitement, this Is like Sanjeevini, a powerful medicine.  Sanjeevi is a medicinal root, which when touched to anything gives life. Here, Lord Venkatesa  referred as Sanjeevi, A medicine.
Annamayya means , Venkateswara cures all worldly problems. If anybody is in any problem, he can be cured from that pain by praying Lord Sree Venkatesa.

Charamam1:      Moodu  lokamulokkata munchi periginadi,  podimi. Nallakanthi.,podalinadi
Veduka kommalu nalguu penachi Cheyi varinadi,  Nade Seshagiri meeda  natukonnadi

Lord Venkatesa is settled on Seshagiri ,one of the seven hills. He is omnipotent.  This Supreme Power only, contracts three Lokas to one point, and expands in four directions.. This is how the creation and destruction  of Lokas happens, periodically. This is a biggest celestial phenomenon,.When thrilokas collapse, they concentrate at one single point, which appears pitch Dark. Actually,  when sucked into one single spot,  thri lokas were converted into the form of exorbitant Energy.  That energy displayed out as Light of unimaginable levels, bushed at one point, was so much brillient, blurring eyes,:  so much brilliant, appeares like a dark, black spot.
Annamayya  named, that unperceivable light of  gigantic energy , as "Nallani Kanthi."

Charanam2:      Padigelu veyinti Pamu kachukonnadi, Kadu Veda sasthramula  gabbu vesedi.
Edaeka oka kantha ekkuka undinadi, kadaleni Anjanadri garudapu mandu.

Lord Sree  Venkatesa, along with Sree Maha Iakshmi, spreading the knowledge of four Vedas, staying on Anjanadri, while  being  guarded by the thousand- heads Adi Seshu. This Lord of Anjanadri is a great powerful medicine., who saves anybody from worldly problems.

Charanam3:        Balu sankha chakramula badanikelunnadi, thalachinavarikella ,Thathvamainadi
Alarina Brahma rudradula puttinchinadi,  Velugu thodutha Sree Venkatadri Mandu.

That , who has Shankh and Chakra, as emblems,; that, who created Brahma and Rudra,; that by recalling which, one becomes spiritual, that brilliant Venkatesa is the powerful medicine.

Here, in this song, Annamayya calls Lord Sree Venkatesa, a Sanjeevi, a great life giving medicine. He speaks about the Prabhavam and Praleeyam of the thrilokas. In First charanam , the word, Nallani kanthi, explains the science behind the creation.
In the last charanam, Annamayya uses a word emphatically, i.e. "Veluge thodutha".
Velugu thodutha" interpretation is, the Lord Venkatesa is Light, but nothing else. The light , which Annamayya means is not that ordinary one, which we physically feel.  But, that light, that brilliance, is
Something, absolutely "Devine".

Podaveina seshagiri boyanayudu

Pallavii:       Podaveina Seshagiri Boyanayudu, viduvakindari gache  Veda Boyanayudu.

" Boyanayudu" is a sect, living in and around Seshardi hill. Seshadri" is one of the Seven hills, which are totally  under Lord Sree Venkatesa's "Power Spell."  On Seshdri hill, Lord presents himself as
Boyanayudu.

Charanam1:         Polaci meesala pedda Boyanayudu, maligi veepunagatte  manku boyanayudu
Polamu rajei thirige  Boyanayudu, velaya motunanunde Veta Boyanayudu

In this charanam, Annamayya is referring to the  different incarnations of  The Seshgiri Boyanayudu .
With flakes and fins in Mathsyavatar,;
with earth on back, in Koormavatar,; as the king of the  land , in Varahavatar,;  as a wild, ferocious
Lion, in Nrusimhavatar, the Seshagiri Boyanayudu has incarnated.

Charanam2:       Potti potti adugula Boyanayudu, puttu paga sadhinche, Boyanayudu.
Bottula Mekamunese Boyanayudu, Pattapu nemali chungu balu Boyanayudu.

Seshagiri Boyanayudu was short in Vamanavatar, with short feet,;
Took revenge on Kshatriyas  in ParasuRamavatar,; killed the dot-skin deer in Ramavatar,; decked with a peacock frill, in Sri Krishnavatar.

Charanam3:        Ponchi siggeggeragani   Boyanayudu ,minchi ralameeda dataee, mendu  Boyanayadu.
Anchala sri Venkatesudane Boyanayudu, pancha  kalavelamula. Bali Boyanayudu.

Seshagiri Boyanayudu , as Buddha, in Buddhavatar, preached, equality in the society .
In Kalikavatar, riding over huge hills.,on horse.,establishes dharma. This Seshagiri Boyanayudu is,
None else than Venkatesa, the Lord of Kaliyuga.

In this song, Annamayya praises the ten incarnations of the Almighty,.    Speciality of the song is, in each
line, one Avatar is described. What a great poet he was?!!. With a very few  words , he wrapped up each avatar.

It is the same Seshagiri Boyanayudu , on Venkatadri hill ,named ,and  called as Venkatesudu.
" Lord Venkatesa is very tall; "says, Annamayya, in many of his sankeertanas.
This song is a Hallmark of his prowess in Telugu Literature.  That is why, he was called, "Pada kavitha pithamaha."  With ten simple words, ten Avatars are explained.
Matsya, Koorma, Varaha, Nrusimha, vamana, Parasurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalkii , all ten Avatars are described in single  song. That's the Beauty of this sankeerthana.

Note:This song is available in cd ," Annamayya  Bhava lahari"' ( Ttd publication  )

Vade venkatadri meeda vara deivamu

Pallavii:           Vade venkatadri meeda vara deivamu, podimitho podachupe podaveina deivamu.

Hay! See. The great Lord is there on the hill Venkatadri. He is tall, gloriously  present there. Yes, oh!, that is The great Lord Sree Venkateswara.

Charanam1:        Okkokka Roma koopana nogi brahmanda kotlu, pikkatilla velugonde penudeivamu
Pakkananu thanaloni padunalgu lokalu, thokki padana goloche Dodda deivamu

Pikkatilla velugonde" means, blasting flashes of light, of such an intensity , which one can not see.
Lord Venkatesa is God of god's. This Lord of lords , is defined as light of lights. This Devine light or Brightness is spreading engulfingly, in all Lokas with light waves. Here, Sree Annamayya describes the true form of Almighty., as Light of exorbitant exponential volts. All 14 Lokas are existing in this Devine Brightness only.  This only Sustaining these Lokas.
In One of the incarnations of Lord Sree Maha Vishnu, i.e. Vamanavatharam, Lord lifted his foot,, stretched to sky's, inorder
to measure the space. Second foot was kept on Empror Bali, who granted unlimited space to Vamana.  Lord Vishnu came down to earth, taking the form of a short Brahmin, in order to save the innocent from evil characters. In this mission of restoring the righteousness, Lord pushed down  Bali, the king of rakshasas to Patala lok, while measuring the fourteen Lokas with another foot.

Charanam2 :    Veda sasthralu nuthinchi, Vesari kanagaleni modapu pekku gunala moola deivamu.
Podi devathalanella puttincha rakshincha, Adi karanambeina aju ganna deivamu.

The Supreme Devine, pocessing all good admirable  qualities, and praised in Four Vedas , is Invisible .
The Lord of venkatadri alone created Brahma, the prime source of creation of the other  Devine entities."   That's why , Venkatesudu  is Ajuganna deivamu".

Charanam3:    Sarusa sankhachakralu saripatti. Asurula tharagi padavesina dandideivamu
Siri uramunaninchi  sree venkatesudai saranagathula gache sathameinadeivamu

Venkatadri vara deivamu holds a Dandam in his hand. That's why, he is called," Dandi deivamu".
This Dandi deivamu, cut to death , all rakshasas with his "Devine Disc", holding the shank in other hand.  Having Sree Maha Lakshmi in his chest, he became, Sree Lakshmi Venkatesa. He saves all his Bhaktas.

In this song , Annamayya praises sree Venkatesaya,  with all special titles.
Vara deivamu, podaveina deivamu, penudeivamu deivamu, Dodda deivamu, Moola deivamu,
Ajuganna deivamu, Dandi deivamu, Satameina deivamu, are all , glorifying names of  Sree Venkatesa.  Annamayya defines the Paramatma , Sree Venkateswara, as" Light."
The 17th century  bhakth, Sri Saint Thyagaraja also, defined the almighty as "Light" , in one of his songs.               "Paramatmudu veluge muchchataga, Baga thelusukore".
" Paramatmudu is nothing but Light only, know this great truth very well."  Is the meaning of the above line. One very interesting aspect is specified in the second charanam. i.e.
We all know that Brahma is the creator of everything , while that Brama himself is,  Lord Sree Venkatesa's creation.

Note: This song is available in a cd" Namo Narayanaya " (Lahari  recording company ).

Evvarevvarivado EE Jeevudu

Pallavii:            Evvarevvarivado EE Jeevudu chuda, evvariki emouno ee Jeevudu

Annamayya was referring to his soul. This soul belongs to how many people?, to whom it relates?. Jeevudu means a" soul".

Charanam1:    Endariki kodukugadee jeevudu, venuka endariki thobuttudee jeevudu
Endarini bramiinchadee Jeevudu, duhkha mendariki gavimpadee jeevudu.

In this charanam, Annamayya speaks about " punarjanma siddhantamu". ( thoery of cycle of births ).
Soul changes the body, acquires another body, in every birth. Entire Hindu philosophy is based on this "theory of birth and rebirth."  In the previous births, to how many people, my soul was a son, to howmany, it was a brother or sister,? To howmany, this soul is related?, to howmany  it caused agony, while leaving the body?.

Charanam2:   Ekkadekkada thirugadee jeevuda, venuka kekkado thana janma mee jeevudu
Ekkadi chuttamu thanaku nee Jeevudu, eppudekkadiki neguno ee jeevudu

Where this my soul roamed in it's previous births?
Where this soul took birth in the previous births? To whom this soul connected?, where will it go?

Charanam3:      Ekkadunu chetulenee Jeevudu , venukakenni thanuvulu moyadee jeevudu
Ennagala thiru Venkatesa Mayala thagili ennipadavula pondadee jeevudu

A soul never dies., only changes the attire. Such a soul of mine, howmany  bodies might it has changed?  Caught into the web of  Lord Sree Venkatesa's mystic Devine illusions, howmany portpholios may it acquire?

Annamayya is addressing his own soul. As a great philosopher of those times, as a self realised soul, he is thinking about his soul- transformation in different births. He was grieving for the pain , he had given to many people , to whom he was related. Here, the mystery is, no one knows, what he was in his previous births. What portpholios, one played in one's earlier births,? ,not known. This is the
Mystery of a soul's play ,how, Lord sree Venkatesa designed ,in this whole creation. So, in this sankeertana, Annamayya , filled with remorse, sings about the philosophy of life, the philosophy  of a soul, the philosophy of the " cycle of births".

Thandanana Ahi

Pallavii :         Thandanana ahi thandanana pure thandanana Bhala thandanana.

Thandanana is a catch word. An exclamatory word of jubilation.Thandanana, thandanana Bhara thandanana.

Charanam1:      Brahmamokkate parabrahmamokkate
                        Para Brahmamokkate Para Brahmamokkate

Brahma and Parabrahma, are the same Supreme Devine entities. Para means, Ultimate. So, Brahma
and Parabrahma resemble the same, and both are identical.Ultimate power is Parabrahmam.

Charanam2 :      Kanduvagu heenadhikamu lindulevu.Andariki sree Hare Antharathma.
Indulo janthukulamintha okkate, Andariki sreeHare Antharatma.

Nothing is great nor worst in this universe.Inside everything dwells Sree Hari only.  Animals belong to one category, Humans one category, but even inside animals also dwells the same Sree Hari.

Charanam3:       Nindaara raju nidrinchu nidrayou nokate, andane bantu nidra, adiunu okate
Mendeina  brahmanudu, mettabhumiunokate, chandaludundeti saribhumi okate

Anybody's sleep, either a king's  or a servant's ,is the same. Either a Brahmin or a schedule caste man
Lives on the same land, wether that is Barron or fertile .

In this song, Annamayya explains the sense of these two entities, Brahmam and Parabrahmam clearly,.Both the entities are great power stores, same in their nature ., but vary only in the quantums of energies. Both are identical but Paramatma dwells in all living beings,  irrespective of their status or caste. The moment, he realised this truth, his excitement hiked to boundless levels. He started shouting Thandanana, thandanana , singing this song. He visualised the all pervading Paramatma.,everywhere and in everything, Inside all humans and animals, irrespective of status. Nothing is great or low for the presence of Paramatma .This sankeertana is a jubilation song of Annamayya's " Truth Realisation."

Verapulu vorapulu vrudha

Pallavii:                 Verapulu, vorapulu vrudha vrudha, dharapei mariyanthaunu vrudha

In this world, all actions of exhibition are absolutely waste.

Charanam1:        Thadayakachesina danambulu vrudha, eda eda erigina eruka vrudha.
Odaliloni Hari onaraga mathilo, tadavani jeevame thanaku vrudha

Charities done freehandedly are all waste, knowing many lands of different places is waste.
If one forgets to realise the Lord Hari, residing inside the body, then that life is waste.

Charanam2:      Jagamuna badacina santhanamu vrudha, thgili gadinchina dhanamu vrudha.
Jagadeka vibhuni, sakalathmuni Hari, thegi koluvani buddhiunu vrudha

In this world, what u think as your kith and kin is waste, the wealth u earned with a great difficulty is also waste. The only one Lord of this entire world, the all pervading Atma is Sree Hari. If one won't worship That Lord Hari, his intellect is waste.

Charanam3:     Panivadi koodina parinamamu vrudha, onaraga Undina vuniki vrudha
Ghanudagu thiruvenkatagiri Hari gani, mananerani janmamulu vrudha

All changes done deliberately are waste, the existance is also waste, even this precious birth is waste, if
One doesn't see the great Lord Venkatesa. Not only this birth, all birth go waste if, one ignores praying Lord Venkatesa.

In this song, Sree Annamacharya emphasises the impartence of a human birth. All worldly acquisitions
Are of no use, because they won't come along with  anybody, after death. Anybody's birth gets value, only by praying Lord Venkateswara. The very purpose of this birth is , Realising the Hari dwelling inside.

                                            Om Namo Venkatesaya

Bhavamulona bahyamunamduna

Pallavii:                Bhavamulona bahyamunanduna Govinda govindayanikoluvaro manasa

O Mind! Always pray Lord Govinda, either in thought or speach.

Charanam1:        Hariyavatharamule akhiladevathalu,  Harilonive brahmandamulu
Harinamamule annimanthramulu, hair hari, hair hari yanavo manasa

All devathas are incarnations of Hari only, entire universe is in Hari, different names of Hari are different Manthras, chant always Lord's name, Hari, Hari, Hari, Hari.

Charanam2:     Vishnuni  mahimale vihitha karmamulu, Vishnuni pogadedi vedambulu                                                         Vishnudokkade visvantarathmakudu, Vishnuvu vishnuvani, vedukavo manasa

The miracles of Vishnu are the Devine actions. Four Vedas praise Lord Vishnu, singing those Devine actions. Vishnu is the Universal Self. Search to see Lord Vishnu.

Charanam2:         Achyuthudithade, Adiunanthamu, Achyuthude Asuranthakudu
Achyuthdu sree Venkatadrimeedanide, Achyutha Achyutha sarananavo

Hari is indestructible .Hari is the beginning and end. Hari, the indestructible, killed all rakshasas. The Lord of seven hills is "The same Achyuthudu". So, o mind, take resort in Hari,
by chanting, praying Achutha, Achyutha.

In this song, Annamayya calls Lord Venkatesa with different names. Govinda, Hari, Vishnu, Achyutha are all different names of that Universal ultimate Devine power, which creates and runs this universe. Everything is in that Supreme all pervading, and that is in everything., says Annamayya.

Nanati bathuku natakamu

Pallavii:                 Nanati bathuku natakamu, kanaka Kannadi kaivalyamu

This life is a drama. One experiences the "Realisation of God " only by Gnana chakshu".
"Kanaka Kannadi" means, not seaing with physical eyes, but visualising.by mind.

Charanam1                           Puttutau nijamu, povutau nijamu, nattanadimi pani natakamu
                            Ettaedutagaladee prapanchamu, kattakadapatidi  kaivalyamu

The greatest truth is, the" theory of cycle of births". Once born has to die, and once dead has to take another birth. This changing of body is a biggest truth of Life. This theory is the key of entire Hindu philosophy. Punarjanma" is the pivotal point of Hindu philosophy  But the rest in between this birth and death of a life is all drama. Straight to you stands this world, which you think as real. But, it is not so. Finally, the ultimate truth is "Realisation of God."

Charanam2                Thegadu papamu, theeradu punyamu, nagi nagi kalamu natakamu
                                  Eguvane sreeVenkateswaru elika,gaganamu meedidi kaivalyamu

The negative, positive charges, accumulated because of the bad and good acts of a life are called
Sanchita karma".This Sanchita karma never depletes in its' accounts. Reason is, the fruits of our actions in different births, increase the account of  sanchita karma phal. To end this, one has to develop Bhakti towards Lord Venkatesa. The Ruler of this entire universe, Sree Venkatesa is the "Ultimate Supreme Cosmic Power". The goal of anybody's life is, Experiencing his presence.

In this song, Annamayya emphasises single word, i.e., Natakamu.
He  clearly says that life is a drama, and purpose of life is  nothing but " God's Realisation ".
