Pallavi: Ettivarikinella nitty karmamulu, ma ittivarikininka aemi dovayya??
When people of great stature cannot escape the results of their bad actions (bad Karmas)' , what way, people of my stature can go.??
Charanam1: Pamu champinayatti paathakamuna, pedda Paamu meeda neeku pavalinchavalase
Komalini champina korathavalla. nokka komalini edapettukoniunda valasae
Because of killing the gaint cobra Kalindi, in Krishnavatar, you are destined to sleep on a cobra bed. Because of killing a rakshacii Puthana, in Krishnavatar, you are destined to bear a lady (Sree Mahalakshmi) in your heart for ever. So, the law of "universal Dharma", is " you have to reap what you do."
According to Hindu dharma, one should not kill a snake, and a lady (female )". Killing a snake or a female , is considered as a sin. Who so ever does this sin , has to face the penalty inevitably. Even Devine. No escape from this theory of Karma( action).
Charanam 2: Bandiviracheenatti pathakamunaa , pedda bandi booidavei panicheyavalase
Konda verikinatti gunamuna thirumala , kondameeda neeku koochundavalase
Because of breaking a cart in Sree krishnavatar, You are destined to drive the chariot of Arjuna, in the war at Kurukshetra. Because of lifting a hill, forcibly , in Krishnavatar, you are destined to sit on the hill Thirumala.
In Sree krishnavatar, a demon comes in the form of a cart, chages the child Krishna, intending to kill him.
But , Lord knows the conspiracy of the rakshasa. Hence, tactfully kills that Sakatasura.
When Sree Krishna was picnicking with his friends and ladies, all of a sudden rain downpours. Inorder to save them from drenching, Lord lifts the nearby hill, with his little finger and gives shelter to all his folk. Breaking the cart was done to save the people from that demon, Sakatasur., Lifting the hill was also done to save Nandas.; though both actions are done for the general welfare , the effect of karma was destined to Krishna because, he did that..
Action and effect, ( karma & Karmaphal ) is an unescapable phynominon of the universe.
In this song, Annamayya selected all anecdotes from SreeKrishnavatar to expound the great Karma siddhanth. It is the Lord of Kaliyuga , Sree Venkatapathi only , incarnated as Krishna in Krutayuga. Both are the avataras of Sree Hari only. We all know this. What Annamayya says is, when even Gods are not exempted from this " universal law of Karma" , where an ordinary mortal- human stands??.
".Beware of your actions," is the message of Annamayya.
Om Namo Venkatesaya
Note: This song is available in Ttd published cd, "Annamayya Bhava lahari," sung & composed by Lakshmi murty.
